ইতিহাসের বিভিন্ন দিক

আবেগের ইতিহাস মানুষের আবেগের সাথে সম্পর্কিত ঐতিহাসিক গবেষণার ক্ষেত্র যা বিশেষত সাংসস্কৃতিক এবং ঐতিহাসিক পর্বের মধ্যকার অভিজ্ঞতা এবং আবেগের প্রকাশ মধ্যে প্রকারভেদকে বোঝায়। বিশ শতকের শুরুতে লুসিয়ান ফেব্রা এবং পিটার গের মত লেখকদের নিয়ে, বিস্তারিত পরিসরে একটি পদ্ধতিগত ধারা প্রয়োগ করা হয়।

গত দশকে, ঐতিহাসিক গবেষণার জগতে আবেগের ইতিহাস একটি ক্রমবর্ধমান উৎপাদনশীল এবং বৌদ্ধিকভাবে উদ্দীপক শাখা হিসাবে বিকশিত হয়েছে। যদিও আবেগের ইতিহাসের পূর্বসূর রয়েছে— বিশেষত ফেব্রেরের হিস্টোরি ডেস সেনসিবিললিটিস [১] বা সমকামির মনস্তত্ত্ব ইতিহাস (Gay's Psychohistory)।[২] শাখাটি ধারণাগত ইতিহাস, ঐতিহাসিক গঠনবাদ এবং দৈহিক ইতিহাস ইত্যাদি নব্য ঐতিহাসিকরেখা পদ্ধতিতে পদ্ধতিগত রূপান্তর করে। [৩]

আবেগের সমাজবিজ্ঞান বা আবেগের নৃবিজ্ঞানের মত, আবেগের ইতিহাস অনুভূতির প্রকাশের ভিত্তির উপর কেবল স্বতঃসিদ্ধ করেই নয়, সে অনুভূতিগুলো আত্মস্থও করা হয়। সংস্কৃতি এবং ইতিহাস যেভাবে পরিবর্তিত হচ্ছে এবং একই সাথে অনুভূতির পাশাপাশি তাদের প্রকাশভঙ্গিও পরিবর্তিত হচ্ছে। অনুভূতির সামাজিক প্রাসঙ্গিকতা এবং শক্তিমত্তা ঐতিহাসিক ও সাংস্কৃতিকভাবে পরিবর্তনশীল। অনেক ঐতিহাসিকের দৃষ্টিতে, আবেগ কেবল ইতিহাসের একটি মৌলিক বিভাগ, যেমনটা শ্রেণি, বর্ণ বা লিঙ্গ একেকটি বিভাগ।

পদ্ধতি সম্পাদনা

সাম্প্রতিক বছরগুলিতে বেশ কয়েকটি পদ্ধতিগত পন্থায় এ বিষয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়েছে। আবেগ অনুভূতির কোনো কোনো ঐতিহাসিক তাদের গবেষণা আবেগবিদ্যার শিরোনামে আবেগের ধরন এবং নিয়মের অনুভূতির ঐতিহাসিক বিশ্লেষণে সীমাবদ্ধ রাখেন। [৪] বিশেষত সাম্প্রতিক অতীতে, আবেগের ইতিহাসের পদ্ধতিগত কলেবরে আনুষ্ঠানিক, গঠনবাদী এবং অনুশীলন তত্ত্ব পদ্ধতি অন্তর্ভুক্ত করার দিকে প্রসারিত হয়েছে। বর্তমানে মৌলিক পদ্ধতিগত ধারণাগুলির মধ্যে রয়েছে: অনুভূতিশীলতা,[৫] আবেগীয় অভ্যাস এবং সংবেদনশীল অনুশীলন। [৬] অতিরিক্তভাবে এমন কয়েকটি পদ রয়েছে যা সংবেদনশীল সম্প্রদায়,[৭] শাসনব্যবস্থা,[৮] এবং সংবেদনশীল শৈলীর মতো অনুভূতির সংস্কৃতির বিভিন্ন সুযোগ এবং বাধ্যতামূলক প্রভাব বর্ণনা করে। [৯] অতি সাম্প্রতিককালে, আবেগের ইতিহাস স্নায়ুবিজ্ঞানে সামাজিক এবং সাংস্কৃতিক রূপান্তরের সাথে সম্পর্কিত হয়ে উঠেছে যা আবেগের ইতিহাসকে বৃহৎ পরিসরে জীবসাংস্কৃতিক ইতিহাসতত্ত্বের একটি অংশ হিসেবে দাঁড় করিয়েছে। [১০]
