The rising tensions in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in recent weeks are confirmed. Saeed Yusuf Muhammad Oudeh, 16, Palestinian teenager[৪] was killed in clashes with the Israel Defense Forces and a woman was killed while trying to carry out a suspected stabbing attack on Israeli troops.[৫]

Palestinians began protesting and rioting in Jerusalem over an anticipated decision of the Supreme Court of Israel regarding the eviction of Palestinian residents in Sheikh Jarrah, a neighbourhood of East Jerusalem.[৬]

Hundreds of people are wounded in renewed clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police at Jerusalem's Temple Mount compound. The clashes are prompted by thousands of Palestinians gathering overnight at the flashpoint Jerusalem holy site ahead of Jerusalem Day, collecting numerous rocks and other makeshift weapons, upon which police barred Jewish entry to the site. The Palestinians then started rioting and hurling rocks, leading police to enter the compound. Israel's military liaison to the Palestinians, Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian, attempts to ease the rising tensions in Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, telling Palestinians that Israel is “dedicated to allowing freedom of worship in Jerusalem to all religions,” as Muslim rioters clash with police on the Temple Mount. Sami Abu Zuhri, a spokesperson for the Hamas terror group, comments on the clashes between Israeli police and Palestinian rioters in Jerusalem's Temple Mount, calling them “a real massacre and war crime.”

Palestinian rioters throw rocks and other objects at a Jewish man's car outside the Old City and try to drag him and a passenger out before the driver speeds into one of them. A police officer who was nearby ran to the scene and protected the driver and passenger, who were mildly injured, as rioters attempted to attack them. The driver and passenger are taken to Jerusalem's Hadassah Mount Scopus medical center for treatment.

Over 278 Palestinians are wounded since clashes with Israeli police in the morning. Israel Police say at least 12 policemen were injured. In addition, Israeli civilians including a seven-month-old baby are wounded by rocks thrown at cars near the Old City. 305 Palestinians are wounded during the clashes, 7 in serious condition.

The Israel Defense Forces send reinforcements to the Gaza Division out of concern for an escalation of violence. The escalation started during the evening and night, with hundreds of rocket fired and mortar fired. The Israel Defense Forces said some 200 rockets were fired toward Israel from the Gaza Strip during the night, dozens of which have been intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system. The Israel Defense Forces has conducted retaliatory strikes on roughly 130 targets in the Strip, including the home of a top Hamas commander, Hamas's intelligence headquarters, two attack tunnels that came near the security barrier and rocket production and storage sites.[৭]

Widespread protests and riots intensified across Israel, particularly in cities with a large Arab population. the Mayor of Lod Yair Revivio urged Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu to deploy Israel Border Police units to help quell the violence that saw the burning of three synagogues and dozens of cars in the city, saying that the city had "completely lost control" and describing it as "near civil war".[৮] Netanyahu declared a state of emergency in Lod, marking the first time since 1966 that Israel had used emergency powers over an Arab community.[৯][১০] Minister of Public Security Amir Ohana has implemented the emergency orders.[১০]

At least two people were in serious condition from the clashes, one from rocks. In Acco, another mixed Arab-Jewish city in northern Israel, an 84-year-old man was seriously hurt when a restaurant was set on fire by rioters. Some 25 residents of Ramla and Lod were arrested at night, according to a police spokesperson, and 151 were arrested in total within the central-northern district of Israel.[১১][১২]

Over 850 rockets crossed into Israeli territory after being launched from Gaza, and another 200 fell inside the Hamas-run coastal enclave. Several rockets have made direct hits on buildings and cars in Israel, killing five Israelis. Two of those killed were Khalil Awad, 52, and his daughter Nadin, 16, Arab-Israeli residents of a town near Lod, who were killed after a rocket scored a direct hit on a car in Lod early morning.

An anti-tank guided missile fired from the northern Gaza Strip toward a target inside Israel near the community of Netiv Ha’asara, just north of the enclave. Two people are critically injured and a third is seriously wounded in the attack, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service. The missile struck a jeep on the border. According to the Times of Israel, Hamas has assumed responsibility for the attack.[১৩][১৪][১৫] The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that a soldier from the Nahal Infantry Brigade, Staff Sgt. Omer Tabib, 21, was killed in this attack. The Israel Defense Forces announced that all schools are to be closed in central and southern Israel for the rest of the week.

Ido Avigal, 5, child was killed in his home by Hamas rocket strike in Sderot.[১৬][১৭]

In Lod a Jewish man was shot and two Jews were stabbed by Arab attackers. [১৮] At the same time a Jewish man driving through the town of Tamra was attacked by Arab attackers. [১৯] And in Acre a Jewish man was critically injured by Arab attackers. [২০]

The victims of the Hamas rocket attacks confirmed are Leah Yom Tov, 63; Khalil Awad, 52, and his daughter Nadin, 16; Soumya Santosh, 30; Nella Gurevitz, in her 80s; Omer Tabib, 21; and Ido Avigal, 5.[২২] Israel has mobilized around 9,000 reservists, potentially to stage a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip.[২৩] The Israel Defense Forces carried out a strike with military aircraft on a building holding military intelligence services of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. [২৪] The Israel Defense Forces struck a Hamas cell that was firing an anti-tank guided missile toward Israel from the northern Gaza Strip.[২৫] The Northern District of the Israel Police confirmed that 82 overnight arrests have taken the total number held since the start of Jewish-Arab violence on 10 May 2021 to 232, including suspects as young as 13 and 14 years old. The suspects are involved in a number of crimes including rioting, arson and throwing rocks.[২৬] The funeral of Staff Sgt. Omer Tabib, 21, was held at the military cemetery in his hometown of Elyakim.[২৭] The Israel Defense Forces carried out a strike for the second time on a Hamas cell that was firing an anti-tank guided missile toward Israel from the northern Gaza Strip.[২৮] In Lod a Jewish man was stabbed and two were shot.[২৯][৩০] In Jaffa a IDF soldier was attacked by Arabs and left in critical condition. [৩১] The Israel Defense Forces carried out strikes on a Hamas base that fired anti-tank guided missiles toward Israel from the northern Gaza Strip.[৩২][৩৩] [৩৪] Over 100 rockets are fired by Hamas toward central Israel. The Israel Defense Forces comfirmed that not including latest over 100 rockets fired toward central Israel, a total of 1,369 rockets have been launched by Hamas since 10 May 2021.[৩৫] Hamas fired rockets to Israel’s 2nd international airport, Ramon in the Hevel Eilot region, near Eilat, where flights have been diverted after Ben Gurion Airport was also targeted. [৩৬] The rocket that fell in the Hevel Eilot region, near Israel’s southernmost city, Eilat, appears to be the longest-ranged projectile ever fired by Hamas into Israel. The rocket traveled some 250 kilometers into Israeli territory.[৩৭] Hamas launched a number of armed suicide drones from Gaza into southern Israel. One of these crash-landed in an open field, causing no injury or damage, as the aircraft was disarmed by a police sapper.[৩৮][৩৯] Three rockets were fired at Israel from southern Lebanon.[৪০]

Israel launched artillery fire and air strikes at Gaza, which according to a statement by the IDF, were an attempt to destroy tunnel complexes used by Hamas, and prevent fire from the Gaza Strip.[৪১] According to the IDF, 450 bombs were dropped in 35 minutes. Attacking both weapons depots, and underground tunnel networks.[৪২][৪৩]

A theatre in Acre, was burnt down by rioters. According to the theatre owners, both Arabs and Jews frequented the theatre and it was 'a symbol of Arab-Jewish coexistence in the city'.[৪৪]

An office building used by the Associated Press and Al Jazeera Media Network was destroyed by an Israeli airstrike. Residents were warned an hour before the strike occurred.[৪৫]

An Israeli man was killed after a barrage of rocket fire targeted Tel Aviv and central Israel. Buildings and infrastructure has been damaged in several cities in central Israel.[৪৬]

During the night 40 rockets are fired from Gaza towards Ashdod and Ashkelon, according to the IDF. The IDF says they began 'phase II' of the operation to destroy underground tunnel networks in Gaza, dropping 100 bombs from dozens of fighter jets.

Synagogues were attacked by pro-Palestine rioters in Germany. In Ontario, Canada, an elderly Jewish man was beaten and a young Jewish woman sexually assaulted by pro-Palestine Muslims.[৪৭][৪৮]

The IDF released a video of remote-controlled aircraft operators deciding to give up an attack at the last minute after identifying children in the target area. Dozens more civilian casualties reported in Gaza after airstrikes conducted in response to missile fire.[৪৯][৫০][৫১]

The IDF reports the total count of missiles launched from Gaza to Israel to be over 3,000. [৫২]
