After the proclamation of the Republic, [[Provisional Government of the Second Spanish Republic]] was established until December 1931, when the [[Spanish Constitution of 1931]] was approved a Constitutional Republic was formally established. The republican government of [[Manuel Azaña]] would start a great number of reforms to "modernize" the country. After the [[Spanish general election, 1933]], [[Alejandro Lerroux]] ([[Radical Republican Party]]) formed a government with the [[Confidence and supply]] of the [[Spanish Confederation of Autonomous Right-wing Groups]] (CEDA).
