আহমদ শাহ দররানি ১৬ আক্টোবর, ১৭২২ সালে [[কান্দাহার]] প্রদেশে মৃত্যুবরণ করেন। তাকে কান্দাহার শহরের কেন্দ্রস্থলে শ্রাইন অফ দ্য ক্লোয়াকে দাফন করা হয়, যেখানে পরবর্তীতে একটি বড় সমাধিস্তম্ভ প্রতিষ্ঠা করা হয়।
