Shafiul A. Islam; PhD, CText FTI, specializing in developing textile technology and strategy, authored numerous research articles, patents, theses, books and conference presentations. His biopolymeric-spider-silk micro-spinning innovation has advanced biomaterials processing knowledge. He is Director of TexTek Solutions (textek.piczo.com); President of the Institute of Textile Science (textilescience.ca); and a Royal Chartered Fellow of the Textile Institute International, UK. Dr. Islam lives and works out of Canada. His interests encompass stimulating science, technology, innovation and management seamlessly to turn challenges into opportunities.
