জার্ডনের দুমুখো সাপ (ইংরেজি: Jerdon's worm snake, বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম: Indotyphlops jerdoni) নিরীহ অন্ধ সাপের একটি প্রজাতি। এটি ভারতের একটি স্থানীয় (এন্ডেমিক) প্রজাতি। এর কোনো স্বীকৃত উপপ্রজাতি নেই।^[৩]

নামকরণ সম্পাদনা

ব্রিটিশ জীববিজ্ঞানী থমাস সি. জার্ডনের সম্মানে প্রজাতিটির নামকরণ করা হয়েছে।^[৪]

ভৌগোলিক বিস্তৃতি সম্পাদনা

জার্ডনের দুমুখো সাপ পূর্ব ও উত্তর ভারতের সিকিম, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ, আসাম ও মেঘালয় রাজ্যে পাওয়া যায়। এছাড়া, এটি বাংলাদেশ ও মিয়ানমারেও (পেগু) পাওয়া যেতে পারে।

এই প্রজাতির জন্য প্রদত্ত টাইপ লোকালিটি হল খাসি পাহাড়।^[১]

প্রজনন সম্পাদনা

জার্ডনের দুমুখো সাপ ওভিপারাস প্রাণি। অর্থাৎ, এরা ডিম দেয় এবং ডিম ফুটে বাচ্চা হয়। মাতৃদেহে ভ্রূণের বিকাশ হয় না।^[২]
