The divine sage Durvasa, infamous for his short temper, comes towards her hermitage. The legend proceeds with Shakuntala being cursed by him, after she ignored his arrival. |

English: This picture was earlier used for Sita, but after a research, it was confirmed that this painting depicts Shakuntala. See [1], [2]. A similar lithograph of Sita is based on it, this is the main cause of confusion. According to this website, this Shakuntala painting forms the exemplar for the Sita lithograph. |
