আকস্মিক বোধোদয় বা উপইতিবাদ হলো বৌদ্ধ ধারণা যা ধারণ করে যে অনুশীলনকারীরা চূড়ান্ত বাস্তবতার (বুদ্ধ প্রকৃতি বা মনের প্রকৃতি) তাৎক্ষণিক অন্তর্দৃষ্টি অর্জন করতে পারে।[১] এটিকে "আকস্মিক করে,"[২] "এক নজরে," "সব একসাথে উন্মোচিত" বা "একসঙ্গে, সম্পূর্ণভাবে, একই সাথে," এর বিপরীতে "একের পর এক বা একের পর এক উন্মোচিত হওয়া" হিসেবে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে।[৩] এটি ক্রমবাদের বিপরীত ধারণা, যেটি বলে যে অন্তর্দৃষ্টি শুধুমাত্র দীর্ঘ ধীরে ধীরে ধাপে ধাপে প্রক্রিয়ার মাধ্যমে অর্জনযোগ্য।[৪][৩]
