বারমাকি

মধ্যযুগীয় বালখের একটি পরিবার

বারমাকি (ফার্সি: برمکیان Barmakīyān; আরবি: البرامكة - al-Barāmikah, from the Sanskrit: pramukha प्रमुख "leader, chief administrator, registrar");[১] ছিল মধ্যযুগে বালখের একটি পরিবার। তারা উত্তরাধিকার সূত্রে বৌদ্ধ নেতা ছিলেন।[২] পরবর্তীতে আব্বাসীয় খলিফাদের সময় তারা ব্যাপক আকারে রাজনৈতিক ক্ষমতা লাভ করেন। খালিদ ইবনে বারমাক প্রথম আব্বাসীয় খলিফা আস সাফাহর প্রধানমন্ত্রী বা উজির হন। তার পুত্র ইয়াহিয়া হারুনুর রশিদকে ক্ষমতালাভে সাহায্য করেন। বারমাকিরা তাদের নানাবিধ গুণের কারণে সমাদৃত ছিলেন। আরব্য রজনীর কিছু গল্পে তাদের উল্লেখ রয়েছে।
