অকাস (ইংরেজি:AUKUS, অথবা Aukus /ˈɔːkəs/), অস্ট্রেলিয়া, যুক্তরাজ্য এবং যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের মধ্যে হওয়া ত্রিপাক্ষিক একটি নিরাপত্তা চুক্তি।[১]
প্রশান্ত মহাসাগরীয় এলাকায় পশ্চিমাদের উপস্থিতি বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ও যুক্তরাজ্য অস্ট্রেলিয়াকে পারমাণবিক শক্তিচালিত সাবমেরিন নির্মাণে সহায়তা করবে।[২] অস্ট্রেলিয়ার প্রধানমন্ত্রী স্কট মরিসন, যুক্তরাজ্যের প্রধানমন্ত্রী বরিস জনসন ও যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের রাষ্ট্রপতি জো বাইডেন তাদের যৌথ বিবৃতিতে নির্দিষ্ট কোন দেশের নাম উল্লেখ না করলেও হোয়াইট হাউজের এক গোপন উৎসের মাধ্যমে জানা গেছে ইন্দো-প্রশান্ত সাগরীয় এলাকায় গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী চীনের প্রভাব মোকাবেলার লক্ষ্যে জোটটি গঠন করা হয়েছে।[৩] The agreement has been characterized as a successor to the existing ANZUS pact between Australia, New Zealand and the United States; with New Zealand "sidelined" due to its ban on nuclear energy, but no official statement has been made on this.[৪][৫][৬]
The agreement covers key areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber warfare, underwater systems, and long range strike capabilities. It also includes a nuclear component, possibly limited to the United States and the United Kingdom, on nuclear defence infrastructure.[১] The agreement will focus on military capability, separating it from the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing alliance which also includes New Zealand and Canada.[৭]
It was described as "probably the most significant security arrangement between the three nations since World War Two".[৭]
