বস্তু বা ঘটনার বার্তা বয়ে মস্তিস্কে নিয়ে আসে এবং সঙ্গে সঙ্গে শুরু হয় এর বিশ্লেষণ, সমন্বয়সাধন ও একীকরণ।ফলে অতীত অভিজ্ঞতার আলোকে উক্ত বস্তু বা ঘটনার পরিচয় পাওয়া যায়। এই অর্থপূর্ণ ধারণাই প্রত্যক্ষণ।
