পূর্বে [[অস্ট্রীয় ফুটবল ইউনিয়ন|অস্ট্রীয় ফুটবল ইউনিয়নের]] অংশ ছিল স্বায়ত্তশাসিত পোলিশ ফুটবল ইউনিয়ন (পিএফইউ); এ থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে ১৯১৯ সালের ২০শে ডিসেম্বর তারিখে সম্পূর্ণ স্বাধীন ফেডারেশন প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল। পিএফইউ লুভুতে ১৯১১ সালের ২৫শে জুন তারিখে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল।<ref name=ffu/> ১৯১১ এবং ১৯১৯-এর মধ্যে পোল্যান্ডের জাতীয় দল জার্নি লুয়ের স্টেডিয়ামে তিনটি খেলা খেলেছিল। দলটি মূলত লুভু শহরের খেলোয়াড়দের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত হয়েছিল।
