==ইতিহাস==
সুনানে আবু দাউদ গ্রন্থের রচনাকাল সঠিক ভাবে নির্ণয় করা যায় না। তবে বিশেষজ্ঞগণ বিভিন্ন ভাবে এর রচনাকাল নির্ধারণ করার প্রয়াস করেছেন। আবু দাউদ উক্ত বই লেখার পর তিনি তার শিক্ষক [[আহমদ বিন হাম্বল|আহমেদ ইবনে হাম্বলকে]] দেখিয়েছিলেন এবং তিনি বইটি দেখে ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেছিলেন। ২৪৩ হিজরীতে আহমেদ ইবনে হাম্বল মারা যান। এ থেকে অনুমান করা হয় যে উক্ত গ্রন্থ হিজরী দ্বিতীয় শতকের তৃতীয় দশকে লেখা হয়েছে। বর্তমান সারা পৃথিবীতে বিশে সম্মানের সাথে মুসলিমরা উক্ত বই পাঠ করে। <ref>[http://www.abc.se/~m9783/n/vih_e.html Various Issues About Hadiths]</ref>
