}}'''গুয়াহাটি''' ([[অসমীয়া ভাষা|অসমীয়া ভাষায়]]: [[গুৱাহাটী]] ''গুয়াহাটি'') উত্তর পূর্ব [[ভারত|ভারতের]] [[অসম]] অঙ্গরাজ্যের বৃহত্তম শহর ও রাজধানী শহর। শহরটি পশ্চিম অসমে ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদের তীরে, মেঘালয় অঙ্গরাজ্যের সাথে সীমান্তের কাছে অবস্থিত। গুয়াহাটি একটি শিল্পশহর, গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নদীবন্দর এবং অসমের বাণিজ্যিক কেন্দ্র। এখানে পাট, তুলা, চাল এবং চায়ের বাজার আছে। এখানকার কলকারখানার মধ্যে ভোজ্য তেল পরিশোধন, সাবান ও কাঠ উৎপাদন, বস্ত্র বয়ন, এবং ময়দা পেষার কল। খ্রিস্টীয় ৫ম শতকের শুরুর দিকে গৌহাটি হিন্দু কামরূপ রাজ্যের রাজধানী ছিল। এখানকার বহু মন্দির বহুদিন ধরেই হিন্দুদের একটি তীর্থস্থানে। এদের মধ্যে কামাখ্যা ও ঊমানন্দা মন্দির দুইটি বিশেষভাবে উল্লেখযোগ্য। শহরের কেন্দ্রস্থলে ১০ম শতকে নির্মিত জনার্দন মন্দির দাঁড়িয়ে আছে; এই হিন্দু মন্দিরটিতে বুদ্ধের একটি চিত্র আছে।▼
