'''কিয়োটো প্রোটোকল''' একটি বহুরাষ্ট্রীয় আন্তর্জাতিক চুক্তি যা এই চুক্তিতে স্বাক্ষরকারী রাষ্ট্রগুলিকে [[গ্রীনহাউস গ্যাস]] নির্গমন হ্রাসের জন্য দায়বদ্ধ করে। ১৯৯৭ খ্রিষ্টাব্দের ১১ই ডিসেম্বর [[জাপান|জাপানের]] [[কিয়োটো]] শহরে এই চিক্তি প্রথম গৃহীত হয় এবং ২০০৫ খ্রিষ্টাব্দের ১৬ই ডিসেম্বর প্রথম কার্যকরী হয়। বর্তমানে এই চুক্তি দ্বারা ১৯২টি দেশ দায়বদ্ধ রয়েছে। এই চুক্তির মাধ্যমে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের ওপর ক্ষতিকর প্রভাব না ফেলতে পারার মতো বায়ুমন্ডলে [[গ্রীনহাউস গ্যাস|গ্রীনহাউস গ্যাসের]] পরিমাণ কমিয়ে আনার [[দ্য ইউনাইটেড নেশনস ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক কনভেনশন অন ক্লাইমেট চেঞ্জ]] সভায় গৃহীত লক্ষ্যমাত্রাগুলিকে পূরণ করার কথা বলা হয়েছে। ঐতিহাসিকভাবে উন্নত দেশগুলি বায়ুমন্ডলে [[গ্রীনহাউস গ্যাস|গ্রীনহাউস গ্যাসের]] বর্তমান পরিমাণের জন্য দায়ী বলেও চিহ্নিত করে এই চুক্তি এই দেশগুলিকে নিঃসরণের পরিমাণ কমিয়ে আনার জন্য দায়বদ্ধ করে। এর ফলে ২০০৮ থেকে ২০১২ খ্রিষ্টাব্দের মধ্যে প্রথম দায়বদ্ধতা সময়কালে ৩৭টি শিল্পোন্নত দেশের নিঃসরণের পরিমাণ বেঁধে দেওয়া হয়।
