বিজ্ঞানের ইতিহাসে '''ইসলামী বিজ্ঞান''' বলতে ৮ম শতক থেকে ১৫শ শতক পর্যন্ত, অর্থাৎ ইসলামের স্বর্ণযুগে ইসলামী সভ্যতার অধীনে বিকাশপ্রাপ্ত বিজ্ঞানকে বোঝায়। এটি আরব বিজ্ঞান নামেও পরিচিত, কেননা এই সময়ের অধিকাংশ পুস্তক ইসলামী সভ্যতার সার্বজনীন ভাষা [[আরবি ভাষা|আরবিতে]] লেখা হয়। তবে আরব ও মুসলিম বিজ্ঞানী ছাড়াও অনেক অনারব ও অ-মুসলিম বিজ্ঞানীও ইসলামী সভ্যতার বিজ্ঞানে অবদান রাখেন।
