আপলোড করার জন্য ছবিটির একটি বর্ণনা মূলক নাম ব্যবহার করতে হব। বাংলাদেশের কোনো মানচিত্র আপলোড করার সময় এটি "Bangadesh.png" নাম দেয়া যেতে পারে। তবে এটি খুব স্বাভাবিক যে বাংলাদেশের আরও অনে মানচিত্র আগে থেকেই আপলোড করা আছে অথবা ভবিষ্যতে আপলোড হবে। তাই নামট আরও সুনির্দিষ্ট হওয়া জরুরী। এক্ষেত্রে মানচিত্রটির নাম "Bangadesh.png" এর পরিবর্তে "Bangadesh political map.png" অথবা "Bangadesh political map with red borders.png" দেয়া অধিক যুক্তিযুক্ত। আপলোডের পূর্বে দেখে নিন পূর্বের কোনো ফাইলকে প্রতিস্থাপন করা প্রয়োজন কিনা, সেক্ষেত্রে পূর্বের ফাইলের নামেই আপলোড করতে হবে। আর নতুন ফাইল হিসাবে সংযোজন করতে হবে নতুন নামে আপলোড করতে হবে। মনে রাখতে হবে বড়হাতের এবং ছোটো হাতের অক্ষরে লেখা নাম আলাদা ফাইলকে নির্দেশ করে। "Bangadesh.png" এবং "Bangadesh.PNG" এক ফাইল নয়। তবে সামঞ্জস্যতা বজায় রাখতে ফাইলের এক্সটেনশনের ক্ষেত্রে সবসময় ছোটো হাতের অক্ষর ব্যবহার করা হয়।
You may use the same name in the case of a different image that replaces the old one, and also if you make an improved version of the same image - perhaps a scanned image that you scanned again with a better quality scanner, or you used a better way of reducing the original in scale - then upload it with the same title as the old one. This allows people to easily compare the two images, and avoids the need to delete images or change articles. However, this is not possible if the format is changed, since then at least the extension part of the name has to be changed.
